NDSGC Undergraduate Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The North Dakota Space Grant provides scholarship funding for outstanding students at affiliate schools. Each NDSGC affiliate school identifies its qualified applicants and submits awardee information to the NDSGC. Scholarships are designed for students pursuing degrees that will build, sustain, and deploy a skilled, high-performing, and diverse workforce that meets the current and emerging needs of NASA, North Dakota, and the nation.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarships of up to $2,500 per award
  • Awards may be distributed in fall and spring semesters
  • Designed for students preparing for STEM careers that align with NASA and statewide workforce needs
  • Affiliate schools select and submit awardee information to the North Dakota Space Grant

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be enrolled at an NDSGC affiliate college or university other than NDSU or UND
  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen
  • Applicant must be in good academic standing
  • Applicant must be pursuing a STEM or STEM education degree
  • Nursing majors are not eligible under NASA regulations

Application Process

  1. Confirm enrollment at an eligible NDSGC affiliate institution
  2. Prepare one letter of recommendation from a faculty member
  3. Complete the scholarship application form provided by your school
  4. Submit all materials to your institution’s Office of Financial Aid
  5. For BSC students, complete the designated online form
  6. If your school is not listed with specific instructions, contact your Financial Aid Office for guidance

In addition to one letter of recommendation from a faculty member, students must fill out and turn in the application form to the Office of Financial Aid at their respective institution. Students are highly encouraged to contact their institution’s Financial Aid Office for guidance.
